Connect a manometer to the outlet tap at the gas valve before adjusting the pressure regulator.

Measure the current manifold pressure.

Is the manifold pressure within the acceptable range for natural gas (3.5 inches water column) or propane gas (10 inches water column)?

Adjust the pressure regulator direction

Propane Gas Specific Instructions

Ensure no unit gas valve regulator is used for propane gas.

Adjust the second stage supply line pressure regulator to 10 inches water column with all other gas consuming appliances running.

Ensure the air cleaner is installed in the correct position (not with the access door facing down).

Verify the air cleaner is located in the return air duct next to the blower compartment.

Electronic Air Cleaner Inspection

Inspect the accessibility of the electronic air cleaner for periodic inspection and cleaning.

Check the pre-filters for cleanliness and clean if necessary.

Inspect the electronic cells for cleanliness and clean if necessary.

Ensure the media air cleaner is accessible for periodic inspection and replacement of the filter cartridge.

HIGH VOLTAGE DISCONNECT ALL POWER BEFORE SERVICING OR INSTALLING THIS UNIT. MULTIPLE POWER SOURCES MAY BE PRESENT. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY CAUSE PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH. IF YOU MUST HANDLE THE IGNITOR, HANDLE WITH CARE. TOUCHING THE IGNITOR BODY WITH BARE FINGERS, ROUGH HANDLING, OR VIBRATION COULD RESULT IN EARLY IGNITOR FAILURE. ONLY A QUALIFIED SERVICER SHOULD EVER HANDLE THE IGNITOR.

Check for blockage and/or leakage in the following systems

Inspect the outside termination and connections of the flue pipe system

Inspect the outside termination and connection of the combustion air intake pipe system

Check the heat exchanger for corrosion and/or buildup

Inspect burners for proper ignition, burner flame, and flame sense

Check electrical connections for tightness and/or corrosion

Ensure all other gas appliances are turned off

Wait for at least fifteen minutes after the heating cycle has started

Clock the gas meter to determine the time for one complete revolution of the cubic foot dial

Enter the time in seconds for one complete revolution

Enter the number of cubic feet of gas consumed per hour

Enter the calorific value of the gas (BTU per cubic foot)

Disconnect all power before servicing, removing the filter or performing any other maintenance.

Check for multiple power sources

Ensure filters are cleaned or replaced every two months.

Is the filter of the same type and size as the one being replaced?
