Compressor Oil System Check
Pre-Check Requirements
Ensure compressor is at operating temperature
Temperature Checks
Record gas and oil discharge temperature
Is the discharge temperature within normal range for ambient temperature?

Record oil inlet pressure
Record oil cooler oil pressure differential

Oil Separator Element Maintenance
Preparation
Ensure the unit is completely off and that no pressure is in the oil reservoir.
Disconnect, tag, and lockout power supply to the starter.
Pressure Differential Gauging
Measure the pressure differential across the oil separator.
Is the pressure differential approximately 8 PSI or higher?
Separator Element Inspection
Remove the separator element.
Shine a light inside the element to check for heavy dirt or varnish deposits.
6000 Hourly Compressor Lubricant Change
Preparation and Safety
Observe all shutdown and lockout procedures
Ensure all materials used are compatible with AEON Lubricating Coolants
Draining the System
Drain oil from compressor and cooler while hot
Break low points connections and drain oil from pipe runs
Dump oil from filter and reinstall used filter
Filling with New Lubricant
Fill the system with a 50 percent charge of the new lubricant
Compressor Pre-Startup Check
Compressor Oil Check
Check oil level in the reservoir
Is the oil level within the operating range during full load and normal pressure?
Add oil if necessary to reach the top of the operating range
Ensure the oil filter is replaced every 1000 hours
Stop the unit and release pressure before removing the oil filler plug
Intake Scrubber Inspection
Inspect the scrubber to ensure it is clean
Ensure the inlet line is tight and clean
Main Oil Filter Replacement
Safety Precautions
Shut down compressor and relieve system of all pressure
Disconnect, tag, and lockout power supply to the starter
Ensure no gas pressure is in the oil reservoir
Filter Replacement
Refer to OEM Packager’s instructions for specific unit details
Ensure the following parts are not disturbed
Use only the replacement element shown on the filter tag or refer to the parts list for the part number
