Main Oil Filter Replacement
Safety Precautions
Shut down compressor and relieve system of all pressure
Disconnect, tag, and lockout power supply to the starter
Ensure no gas pressure is in the oil reservoir
Filter Replacement
Refer to OEM Packager’s instructions for specific unit details
Ensure the following components are not disturbed
Use only the replacement element shown on the filter tag or refer to the parts list for the part number
Post Replacement Check

Reservoir Oil Level Check
Check the reservoir oil level
Is additional oil required?
Add oil if required
Note if oil consumption is high and refer to OEM Packager's Instructions
Check discharge pressure and temperature
Drain the moisture trap in the control system, if applicable
Check for proper load/unload

Preparation and Safety
Observe all shutdown and lockout procedures
Refer to OEM Packager’s instructions for lubricant upgrade
Draining the System
Drain oil from compressor and cooler while hot
Break low points connections and drain oil from pipe runs
Dump oil from filter and reinstall used filter
Filling with New Lubricant
Fill the system with a 50 percent charge of the new lubricant
Compressor Oil Level Adjustment
Safety Precautions
Ensure the unit is completely off and no gas pressure is in the oil reservoir.
Disconnect, tag, and lockout the power supply to the starter.
Oil Addition Process
Wipe away all dirt around the oil filler plug.
Remove the oil filler plug.
Add oil to return the oil level to the center of the run range when the unit is operating.
Replace the oil filler plug before restoring power to the unit.

Add oil if necessary to reach the top of the operating range
