Treat the shaft seals before long-term storage

Rotate all movable pump parts every three months

Ensure storage temperature is between +5°C and +20°C

Is the relative air humidity below 70%?

Is there no direct sunlight exposure?

Is the storage deformation-free?

Motor Replacement — Special Motor

Turn off the motor and prevent it from being able to be turned on accidentally.

Remove the pump head (see Pump Head Removal).

Replace the mechanical seal if necessary, and mount the pump head (see Pump Head Assembly).

Motor Replacement — IEC Standard Motor for FPE and FP...V

Turn off the motor and prevent it from being able to be turned on accidentally.

Remove the pump head (see Pump Head Removal).

Take the lantern off of the motor.

Remove the pump head (see Pump Head Removal)

Replace the mechanical seal, and mount the pump head (see Pump Head Assembly)

Perform the following tasks according to the given shaft seal

Inspection of Sealing and Quenching Liquid (Optional)

Enter the current sealing liquid head level

Is the sealing liquid head within the specified value?

Enter the temperature of the sealing liquid

Is the temperature of the sealing liquid below 70 °C?

Measurement of the Impeller-Pump Cover Clearance

Measure the height H of the pump cover using vernier calipers

Measure the clearance A between the pump casing and the impeller using vernier calipers

Calculate the clearance (clearance = A - H)

Adjust the clearance to the values specified in the Standard Clearance table

Measurement of the Impeller Casing Clearance — Sizes 711/712 to 1231/1232

Measure the clearance between the impeller and the casing using a leaf feeler gauge
