Inspect the following components for wear or damage

Is there any sign of wear on the inspected components?

Describe any signs of wear or damage observed

Could the wear be due to over-pressurization?

Could the wear be due to incorrect screw gaps?

Could the wear be due to bearing wear?

Perform preliminary flush with water

Perform caustic flush with NaOH (~1-2%)

Perform intermediate flush with water

Perform acid flush with HNO3 (~1%)

Select the duty condition for seal replacement

Ensure all seal wear parts are replaced

Verify the integrity of the new seal installation

Is the system operating normally after replacement?

Notes on the replacement process

Check the oil level in the sight glass

Enter the current operating hours

Drain the old oil from the gearbox

Refill the gearbox with ISO 100 synthetic oil

Inspect mechanical seal for visible leakage

Is the mechanical seal free from leakage?

Record inspection results in the maintenance log
