Inspect the door gaskets for the following conditions

Clean dirty gaskets with soap and water and a clean soft cloth

Replace worn, cracked, or poorly fitted gaskets

Applies to fan-cooled models only

Is the refrigerator operating under dusty, greasy conditions, or is there significant pet traffic?

Gather necessary cleaning tools

Use the vacuum cleaner with extended attachment to remove dust build-up from the condenser coils

Use the condenser cleaning brush to remove any remaining dust build-up from the condenser coils

Notes or observations during cleaning

Vacuum dust from the front of the toe grille

Remove the toe grille (see illustration on page 4)

Vacuum the backside of the toe grille

Wipe with a sudsy cloth or sponge

Ensure the refrigerator is unplugged

Wipe the water pan with a damp cloth

Is the area around the water pan dry and clean?

Clean exterior and handles with soap and water

Avoid using commercial household cleaners, ammonia, or alcohol on handles

Ensure no chloride is used on stainless steel surfaces

Clean stainless steel front and handles with non-abrasive soapy water and a dishcloth

Rinse with clean water and a soft cloth

Wipe stubborn spots with an ammonia-soaked paper towel, then rinse

Use a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner and follow manufacturer's instructions
