Clean the meter test button to remove any buildup of dirt, wax, or finger oils.

Clean the meter foot plate to remove any buildup of dirt, wax, or other foreign materials.

Is the meter run on battery power?

Enter the number of readings taken since the last battery replacement.

Has the battery been replaced after 20,000 readings?

Ensure the CT-8900 is disconnected from the computer

Verify the CT-8900 is manufactured after 3/12/2002

Specify the desired electrical resistance specifications

Press the dipswitches corresponding to the desired test ranges

Select the calibration testing method

Select the resistors for testing

Review the diagram for resistor testing

Display results in the EsdTest program strap test window

Ensure required ports are available on the computer

Is a USB to serial adapter required for the card reader?

Fasten the foot stand to the footplate using Allen head bolts

Ensure bolts are not over tightened

Position the readers and meter on the foot stand

Power Supply and Cable Attachment

Connect all stations and the server to a central Ethernet hub

Enter the unique name for the test station

Software Installation and Configuration

Are you using Network setup disks generated by the XP server?

Check Network Neighborhood properties for required software
