Run the equipment on fully charged battery.

Connect the pads cable to the equipment.

Properly place the pads on the defibrillator/pacer analyzer.

Set the analyzer to Pacing Measurement mode

Connect the patient simulator to the equipment’s SpO2 connector

Select the model and manufacturer of the SpO2 module under test

Configure the parameter as SpO2 96% and PR 80 bpm

Verify the displayed SpO2 and PR values are within acceptable ranges

Record the displayed SpO2 value

Is the SpO2 value within the acceptable range?

Is the PR value within the acceptable range?

Document any discrepancies or issues observed during testing

Is the printout clear and correct?

Simulate the following recorder problems and check for prompt messages

Does the recorder work correctly after resolving the problems?

Switch automatic alarm recording for each parameter ON

Set each parameter’s limit outside set alarm limits

Ensure the correct connection method is used

Insert the battery into the equipment or connect the AC mains if no battery is available

Select the Main Menu button on the equipment’s front panel

Select [User Test>>] from the Main Menu

Confirm entry into the User Test screen when prompted

Select the test items you want to perform

Ensure all test tools are available

Ensure the CO2 module has been warmed up or started up

Enter CO2 Setup menu and select Zero to perform zeroing

Connect the gas cylinder with the tubing using a T-shape connector and check for leaks

Vent the tubing to the CO2 by opening the gas valve
