Isolate suction transducer PE-4 from the unit and depressurize
Voltage across the red and black wires of the transducer
Recover or transfer all refrigerant vapor, in accordance with local ordinances, before opening to atmosphere
Voltage of PE-4 on connector P6A on the Analog Board
Voltage reading at standard atmospheric pressure
Elevation above sea level
Adjusted voltage reading for elevation
Isolate the oil pressure transducer PE-1 from the package and open it to atmosphere
Compressor Unit Components Replacement
NOTICE
See Publication 070.660-SM for procedures covering replacement motor and compressor mounting.
Push [STOP] key on control panel to shut down unit.
Open disconnect switches for compressor and pump motor starters.
Close suction and discharge service valves, also liquid injection and economizer service valves, if applicable.
Slowly vent separator to low-side system pressure using the bypass line on the suction trap.
NOTICE
Recover or transfer all refrigerant vapor, in accordance with local ordinances, before opening to atmosphere. The separator must be equalized to atmospheric pressure.
WARNING
1 Yearly High Pressure Cut-Out Testing
Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!
EZ-CAL High pressure cut-out check valve test block
Is the EZ-CAL test block installed on the package?
Is the pressure transducer wired to the Quantum HD controller?
Is the tubing run to the compressor discharge connection?
EZ-CAL principles of operation
Is the HPCO fully open to the discharge pressure source in the RUN position?
Is the external source connected directly to the HPCO in the TEST position?
Is the function of the HPCO and pressure setting confirmed by application of external pressure?
Temperature Sensor Replacement
WARNING: Be extremely careful not to loosen thermowell while attempting to remove the temperature sensor. The use of two wrenches will be necessary to ensure the thermowell remains stationary. Loss of oil and/or refrigerant could occur. Exposure to refrigerant fumes and/or hot oil can cause injury or death.
