Warning: Handle ink cartridges carefully to prevent ink spillage.

Is the ink cartridge expended or more than six months old?

If the ink cartridge is not expended or more than six months old, stop the procedure.

Note which ink cartridge needs to be replaced.

Upload a photo of the message on the product's LCD screen.

Did you follow the steps on the LCD screen to remove the ink cartridge?

Make sure you have the replacement ink cartridge(s) handy before you begin.

Did you install new cartridges immediately after removing the old ones?

Caution: Leave your old cartridges in the printer until you are ready to replace them to prevent the print head nozzles from drying out.

Warning: Do not use a hard brush, alcohol, or paint thinner to clean the product or you may damage it. Do not use oil or other lubricants inside the product or let water get inside it.

Lift the lever and open the ADF cover.

Use a soft, lint-free cloth (microfiber is recommended) moistened with a little water to clean the rollers and the interior of the ADF.

Caution: Do not use a dry cloth; you may damage the ADF rollers.

Warning: Do not reuse a maintenance box that has been removed and left uninstalled for more than a week. Keep the maintenance box away from direct sunlight.

If the maintenance box is full, a message appears on your product's LCD screen. Select How To and follow the steps on the LCD screen to replace the maintenance box.

Did you successfully follow the steps on the LCD screen?

Upload a photo of the replaced maintenance box.

Sign off on the maintenance box replacement.

Warning: Only replace the cartridge when all of the staples have run out.

Did you see a message on the LCD screen indicating it's time to replace the staple cartridge?

Did you follow the on-screen instructions to replace the cartridge?

Are there any staples remaining in the cartridge?

Note: Do not discard the staple cartridge holder when replacing the staple cartridge. Reuse the holder with the new staple cartridge.

Warning: Make sure to install the correct paper feed rollers for the product.
