Warning: This cleaning procedure requires careful handling of the printer to avoid damage.

Turn off the product, wait for the LCD screen to turn off, and unplug the power cable from the electrical outlet.

Wait for one minute before continuing.

Use a soft, lint-free cloth to thoroughly remove dust and dirt from the platen. Wipe from the top to the bottom of the platen and do not touch the rollers or ink tubes.

Upload a photo of the cleaned area.

If any paper particles have accumulated in the holes, use a pointed object such as a toothpick to push the material into the holes.

Use cotton swabs to remove any paper particles or dust around the outer edges of the borderless pads.

Close the front covers, plug in the power cord, and turn the product back on.

Warning: Do not use volatile chemicals, such as alcohol or paint thinners, to clean the product.

All paper removed from the product?

Is the product turned off and unplugged from the electrical outlet?

Did you use a soft, clean cloth to wipe off any dust or dirt from the exterior of the product?

Note: For stubborn dirt, dampen the cloth with water mixed with a small amount of neutral detergent. Wring it out before using it to wipe the product's surface.

Did you dry the product with a soft, lint-free cloth when you finished?

Sign off on the printer cleaning

Shake the cartridges before installing them in the printer. To maintain optimum print quality, remove and shake the installed cartridges every six months or if the printer has not been used in the last three months.

Removing and Installing Ink Cartridges

Make sure you have your replacement cartridges handy before you begin. You must install new cartridges immediately after removing the old ones. Replace all expended ink cartridges. You cannot print if any of the ink cartridges are expended or any ink slots are empty.

Note: This product is designed to work with genuine Epson inks. Non-Epson ink or any other ink not specified for this printer could cause damage not covered by Epson's warranties.

For SureColor P6570D/P6570DE/P6570E/P8570D/T3770D/T3770DE/T3770E/T5770D/T5770DM/T7770D/T7770DM models only.

3. Place your finger in the groove at the top of the ink cartridge and pull it out.

Warning: Do not replace the borderless maintenance box while printing, otherwise ink may leak.

Warning: Do not touch the chip on the borderless maintenance box or you may prevent normal operation and printing.

Warning: Do not reuse a borderless maintenance box you have removed from the printer and exposed to air for a long period of time. The box will not absorb any more ink.

Warning: Do not tilt the borderless maintenance box until the bag is firmly sealed, otherwise ink may leak.

Warning: Dispose of the used borderless maintenance box carefully.

Check the LCD screen to determine which maintenance box needs to be replaced.

Upload a photo of the new borderless maintenance box from the package.

Lift up the paper support lock lever, then move the paper support down to position A (the lowest position).

Extend the paper output flap as shown.

Caution: Store the replacement cutter out of the reach of children. Do not remove the protective material from the new cutter until instructed to do so. Do not drop the cutter or knock it against anything or you may chip the blade.

Remove all paper from the printer.

Select Maintenance > Replace Auto cutter blade > Start.

Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to loosen the screw holding the cutter in place and carefully remove the cutter. Place the cutter in a plastic bag and dispose of it properly.

Warning: Keep the cutter out of the reach of children. The blade is sharp and can cause injury.

Install the new cutter in the product with the protective material still attached.

Tighten the cutter screw securely.
