Engineered Air Fan Coil RFC

Ensure surfaces are completely dry

Use a nylon brush to remove any loose scale

Roughen up areas to be repaired with a wire brush

Vacuum fins or the affected area to ensure any loose residue is gone

Spray or brush Heresite® S-440 solvent (or equivalent cleaner) to dissolve any oils or grease

Allow one hour for the solvent to dissolve completely

Remove grease drain plugs from the motor

Operate the motor for 15 minutes before replacing plugs

Recommended Motor Lubrication Intervals

Note any severe conditions affecting lubrication frequency

Ensure not to over grease the motor

Inspect coils and drain pans for cleanliness and biological growth

Is there any biological growth present?

Clean the external surface of finned coils using a low pressure water spray and a brush

Were cleaning additives or solutions used?

Ensure cleaning additives or solutions are compatible with coil materials or coatings

Use a fin comb to straighten any damaged or bent fins

Ensure coils are not cleaned with high pressure steam or water

Review submittal record for filter quantities, sizes, and types

Is the unit operating with high levels of outside air?

Inspect filters for the following conditions

Are the filters excessively dirty or plugged?

Clean high velocity permanent filters by rinsing with water and shaking off excess water

Is filter replacement necessary based on inspection?

Remove grease drain plugs from the motor

Operate the motor for 15 minutes before replacing plugs

Ensure no over-greasing has occurred
