Check all wiring for loose connections

Enter the voltage at the unit (while in operation)

Enter the amperage draw and compare against unit rating plate

Inspect contactors for clean and good contact

Are any contacts abnormally pitted or burned?

Replace contactor if contacts are abnormally pitted or burned

Review submittal record for filter quantities, sizes, and types

Is the unit operating with high levels of outside air?

Inspect filters for the following conditions

Check if filters are plugged or excessively dirty

Is the filter a High Velocity Permanent type?

Cleaning High Velocity Permanent Filters

Disconnect power before servicing

Verify no bypass of interlock or safety switches

Check for signs of potential problems

Is sufficient airflow passing through the heater?

Are any coil elements glowing bright red when viewed in the dark?

Reconnect power after servicing

Ensure power is disconnected before servicing

Verify all interlock and safety switches are engaged

Check and tighten electrical connections to the following components

Were all connections secure after tightening?

Ensure power is disconnected before servicing
