Test flame detection by voltage reading at the control programmer

Test operating temperature controls

Check flue gas temperature at outlet

Test low gas pressure switch (and high gas pressure switch if supplied)

Inspect and clean the air inlet screen of any accumulated dust or lint

Installation and service must be performed by a qualified installer or service agency

Clean burner of any accumulated dust or lint

Inspect burner for signs of deterioration or corrosion

Replace burner if deterioration or corrosion is evident

Ensure installation and service are performed by a qualified installer or service agency trained on the Harsco Industrial, Patterson-Kelley P-K THERMIFIC® boiler

Verify that the blower motor does not require lubrication

Describe any abnormalities in the flame, such as yellow color or pulsation

Air Adjustment and Combustion Check

Does the combustion appear to need adjustment?

Enter the CO2 or O2 levels from the analyzer

Compare the CO2 or O2 levels to the fire test sticker values and note any discrepancies

Lockout and tagout gas supply to the boiler

Lockout and tagout electrical power to the boiler

Remove the top cover of the boiler

Disconnect the union in the line at the burner

Disconnect pilot and vent line, being careful not to disturb position of pilot

Loosen and remove the four burner hold-down nuts

Test flame detection by voltage reading at the control programmer

Test operating temperature controls

Check flue gas temperature at outlet

Test low gas pressure switch (and high gas pressure switch if supplied)

Blower Fan and Burner Maintenance

Inspect and clean blower fan and inlet screen of any accumulated dust or lint

Check burner and clean off any soot or foreign material
