Clean the exterior surfaces of the filter canister

Loosen the wing nut and remove the air filter cover

Remove the element and clean the interior surfaces

Inspect and/or replace the element

Replace the cover and retighten the wing nut

Sign off on the air filter replacement

WARNING: Shut down the unit, disconnect the power, lockout and tag to prevent accidental restarting.

Wait one (1) minute after the compressor stops to allow for the pressure to be relieved.

Using a strap wrench, was the old filter removed from the filter head?

Was the gasket contact surface on the inside of the filter head cleaned?

Was a light film of the compressor oil applied to the gasket surface on the new element?

Was the new element hand tightened until the gasket is seated in the gasket groove?

Was the element tightened by hand an additional ½ to ¾ turn?

After restarting the unit, were there any leaks?

Inspect/clean oil scavenger line orifice

Inspect anti-vibration pads (units with tank only)

DANGER: Hot oil under pressure can cause severe injury, death and/or property damage. Be sure the compressor is shutdown and the pressure is relieved before attempting to change or add lubricant.

Wait one (1) minute after the compressor stops to allow the pressure to be relieved and the lubricant to settle.

Lubricant level at the center of the sight glass

Power disconnected, lockout and tag to prevent accidental restarting

Dirt cleaned from around the fill cap

Cap loosened and any additional pressure is relieved through the vent holes, then removed

Lubricant added to the proper level

Cap replaced and tightened securely

Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!

Unit switched off and power disconnected?

Lockout and tag applied to prevent accidental restarting?

Pressure relieved after compressor stops?

Straight edge laid across the face of the motor sheave?

Alignment with the face of the air end sheave checked?

Straight edge laid across the face of the air end sheave?

Alignment with the face of the motor sheave checked?
