Connect a suitable flow meter to the inlet of the impactor and turn on the vacuum pump

Enter the flow rate required (e.g. 60 L/min)

Is the flow within +/- 5% of the requested flow and below 100 L/min?

Is comprehensive reporting and printout of all test setup parameters required?

Insert the inhaler into the sample collection tube or cascade impactor and turn on the vacuum pump

Enter the required number of test actuations (shots)

Enter the required volume for the test (e.g. 4 litres)

Ensure the pump is equipped with the correct fittings

Is the pump positioned correctly on the laboratory bench?

Enter the free flow rate of the pump (L/min)

Is the flow rate within the range of 133 to 833 L/min?

Enter the sonic flow rate through the NGI (L/min)

Is the sonic flow rate up to 100 L/min?
