Lower Limit Switch Adjustment
Preparation
Suspend the hoist
Lower the load block to desired point
Disconnect hoist from power supply
Remove the electrical cover
Adjustment of Lower Limit Switch
Pry the spring guide plate out of the slots in the limit switch nuts using a screwdriver
Turn the slotted silver nut toward its limit switch until the switch clicks, then turn two slots farther
Release the spring guide plate and ensure it slips back in the slots in both limit switch nuts
200 Hourly Gearing Oil Change
Oil Level Check
Remove the oil level fill plug from the side of the hoist
Is the gear oil level even with the hole?
Oil Change
Drain the old gear oil
Measure approximately 2 pints of SAE 90 EP gear oil
Refill the gear case with new SAE 90 EP gear oil
Securely replace the oil level fill plug
Chain Hoist Maintenance
Preparation
Remove load from the hoist
Disconnect hoist from power supply
Is the hoist at a convenient working level?

Run hook up to its top limit
Power Disconnection and Electrical Cover Removal
DISCONNECT HOIST FROM POWER SUPPLY
Remove the electrical cover
Spring Guide Plate and Limit Switch Adjustment
Pry the spring guide plate out of the slots in the limit switch nuts using a screwdriver
Turn the gold nut back to about the center of the threaded screw
Electrical Parts And Brake Maintenance
Preparation
Remove the cover to access the controls
Verify the presence of components on the panel
Terminal Blocks and Contactors
Snap off terminal blocks and end clamps using a small screwdriver
Ensure end clamps are not slid
Slide off the reversing contactor from the rail
Snap the reversing contactor back onto the rail
Note the numbers labeling the terminals of the contactor
