Ensure the data logger is powered off before starting the procedure.

Gather necessary tools: small flat-bladed screwdriver.

Loosen or remove the screws from the sides of the data logger.

Pull the bottom and top of the data logger apart.

Carefully pinch each of the four plastic pins and pull the top circuit board away from the mounts and connector. Ensure not to pull the board too far to avoid damaging the wire connection.

Remove the lithium battery by gently prying it out with a small flat-bladed screwdriver.

Assess the importance of the measurements for calibration scheduling

Determine the duration the data logger will be used

Evaluate the operating environment of the data logger

Consider how the data logger will be handled

Check peripheral and communications ports
