Fan Unit For The Heat Sink Replacement
Pre-Replacement Safety Measures
Switch off the converter power supply
Check the voltage at the converter connections before carrying out any installation work
Fan Unit Removal
Withdraw the cables for the line supply, motor, and braking resistor
Remove the shield plate
Press on the sides of the fan unit locking lugs using your fingers
Withdraw the fan unit from the housing
Post-Removal Check

Switch off the converter power supply
Wait until the discharge time elapses
Release the catches of the fan module using a screwdriver
Withdraw the fan module from the converter
Converter Hardware Replacement
Preconditions Check
Does the new converter have the same or more recent firmware version than the old converter?
Do the converters satisfy one of the following conditions?
Enter the quotient of (rated motor power)/(rated converter power)
Safety Warnings
WARNING: Unexpected machine motion caused by incorrect converter type
WARNING: Unexpected machine motion caused by inappropriate/incorrect converter settings
Backup and Transfer Settings
Back up the settings of the converter to be replaced by uploading them to an external storage medium.
Roof-Mounted Fan Replacement
Switch off the converter power supply
Check the voltage at the converter connections before carrying out any installation work
Press the locking lugs of the roof-mounted fan together using a screwdriver
Withdraw the roof-mounted fan from the converter
Verify the following messages to identify a defective roof-mounted fan
Post replacement safety check
Ensure all tools are removed from the work area
Confirm the new fan is securely mounted
Switch on the converter power supply
