Powered Respirator Face Shield Visual Inspection
Check that all components are intact and undamaged
Inspect the face shield for cracks or scratches
Inspect the breathing hose for wear or damage
Powered Respirator Face Shield Performance Check
Is the airflow from the respirator adequate?
Measure the airflow rate from the respirator
Powered Respirator Face Shield Cleaning
Clean the face shield with appropriate cleaning solution
Sweatband Change
Sweatband Removal
Pick away one end of the sweatband with the tape
Pull the sweatband off
Sweatband Installation
Remove the protective paper from the new sweatband
Fit the new sweatband onto the forehead strap
Face Seal Change
Removing the Old Face Seal
Release the hooks from the head harness.
Release the face seal by pulling its frame to release the pins from the visor unit holes.
Remove the face seal.
Installing the New Face Seal
Thread the new face seal over the visor unit flange, aligning the centre markings.
Press the face seal frame down until a clicking sound indicates the pins are in place.
Secure the hooks to the head harness where the sweatband is relieved.
