4 screws (2) removed
Locking screw (4) loosened
Flange bearing (3) removed
New flange bearing inserted
Flange bearing screwed down with 4 screws
Locking screw tightened
Spur Gear Motor Replacing
Machine movements stopped and safety switch set to “0”
Supply of compressed air interrupted if present
Number of screws removed
Spur gear motor turned a little and screws into intermediate ring
Spur gear motor and intermediate ring forced off housing panel
Spur gear motor pulled out of rotor
Intermediate ring removed from spur gear motor
Intermediate ring seal checked for damage and correct insertion
Installation paste applied to hole of rotor and motor shaft
Air Flushing's Garlock Seal Replacing
Replacing seal in intermediate ring on flange bearing side
1. Set the safety switch to “0” and lock it. Remove the key and keep it with you.
2. Interrupt the supply of compressed air.
3. Remove protective cap (1).
4. Remove 4 screws (2).
5. Loosen the locking screw (4).
6. Remove flange bearing (3).
7. Remove seal (5) and insert new one.
► Ensure that opening (A) in seal is facing the machine.

Number of screws removed
Spur gear motor turned and screws inserted into intermediate ring
Spur gear motor and intermediate ring forced off housing panel
Spur gear motor pulled out of rotor
Intermediate ring removed from spur gear motor
Intermediate ring seal checked for damage and correct insertion
Protective cap removed
