Ensure the testing environment is temperature and humidity controlled

Record the nominal volume of the instrument

Record the volume at 50% of nominal volume

Record the volume at 10% or 20% of nominal volume

Screw the Titrette® / Digital Burette on a bottle filled with distilled or deionised water

Are there any bubbles larger than 1 mm in the glass cylinder?

Check that all controls are functioning smoothly

Enter findings into Test Record (3)

Enter the temperature of the water for testing into Test Record (4)

Fill the instrument to the upper stop ('Fill')

Dispense 5 drops into a separate vessel and wipe off the titrating tube

Place receiving vessel upon the balance and tare the balance

Place recipient under the titrating tube and dispense the entire nominal volume without interruption

Wipe titrating tube at the receiving vessel
