Motor-Side Bearing Replacement
Preparation
Ensure the following parts are removed
Motor Removal
Remove the 4 bolts securing the motor to the conveyor using a 6mm hex key
Slide the entire motor off the drive shaft and set aside
Motor Assembly Removal
Remove the 4 bolts securing the motor assembly to the conveyor body using a 9/64 hex key
Remove the motor and set aside in a safe place
Slide the entire motor assembly out of the conveyor body, wiggling if necessary
Conveyor Cleaning
Preparation
Flip the power switch to the OFF position and disconnect the power cord.
Remove the hopper.
Remove the belt from the body of the conveyor.
Belt Cleaning
Soak the belt in diluted degreaser for 5 - 10 minutes.
Use a cloth or soft-bristled brush to remove stubborn soils if necessary.
Rinse the belt thoroughly with warm or hot water (maximum 55°C/130°F) and allow to dry.
Apply a sanitizer if necessary as part of your sanitation SOP.
Conveyor Belt Removal
Remove the hopper
Grab the handles on the HOPPER, and lift it off the conveyor
Loosen the belt tension
Use the TENSIONING TOOL to turn the BELT TENSIONING STUB clockwise until significant resistance is felt
Remove the conveyor belt
Slide the belt off the side of the conveyor once there is enough slack
Post removal check
Check that all tools are accounted for
Ensure the area is clean and free of debris
Tensioning-Side Bearing Replacement
Preparation
Remove the side panels
Belt Removal
Use the conveyor tensioning tool to remove tension from the belt
Slide the belt off and set aside
Tensioning Assembly Removal
Using a 9/64 Allen key, undo the two screws that secure the tensioning assembly to the body of the conveyor
Grab onto the roller and slide the tensioning assembly right out of the conveyor
