Taillight Bulb Replacement
NOTICE: Plastic retaining pins may break if taillight assembly is forced sideways. Avoid sideways movement when pulling taillight out.
Carefully pull taillight assembly by both ends at the same time.
Remove lamp socket from taillight assembly by turning it counterclockwise.
Pull socket out.
Replace bulb.
Secure socket into taillight assembly.
Push taillight assembly back into place.
Sign off on the taillight bulb replacement.
Initial 10 Hours / 500 Km / 300 Mi Break-In Inspection
We suggest that after the first 10 hours or 500 km (300 mi) of operation, whichever comes first, your vehicle be inspected by an authorized Ski-Doo dealer. The break-in inspection is very important and must not be neglected.
NOTE: The break-in inspection is at the expense of the vehicle owner.
BREAK-IN INSPECTION (600 HO E-TEC):
Inspect engine motor mounts
Inspect exhaust system and check for leaks
Tighten exhaust manifold screws to specified torque
Check coolant level
Inspect fuel lines and connections
Inspect throttle cable
Fuse Inspection
Warning: Do not use a higher rated fuse.
Warning: If fuse has burnt out, source of malfunction should be determined and corrected before restarting. See an authorized Ski-Doo dealer for servicing.
Check fuse condition
Is filament melted?
Sign off on the fuse inspection
Engine Oil Level Check
NOTICE: Check level before each ride and refill if necessary. Do not overfill. Operating the engine with an improper level may severely damage engine. Wipe off any spillage.
Place vehicle on a level surface and proceed as follows to check oil level:
Start engine and let it reach its normal operating temperature. Engine is at normal temperature when rear radiator gets warm, indicating that the thermostat is open.
Let engine run at idle for 30 more seconds.
Stop engine.
Open the LH side panel, refer to CONTROLS, INSTRUMENTS AND EQUIPMENT.
Remove the drive belt guard, refer to DRIVE BELT GUARD.
Remove dipstick from the filler tube, then wipe it clean.
Completely insert dipstick in the filler tube.
Drive Belt Height Adjustment
Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!
Remove the tether cord cap from engine cut-off switch
Open LH side panel
Remove belt guard
Loosen the clamping bolt
Use the suspension adjustment tool to turn the ring 1/4 turn at a time and rotate the driven pulley
Ensure the external surface of drive belt exceeds driven pulley edge by 0 mm to 2 mm (0 in to .08 in)
Tighten the clamping bolt to specification
Install belt guard
