Activate the shear using the CYCLE switch on the front panel.

Activate the punch using the MANUAL PUNCH input.

Enter the STOPPING REACTION time (seconds)
Is the STOPPING REACTION time within the acceptable range (0 to 5.000 seconds)?
Testing and Verification
Run a test cycle to verify the STOPPING REACTION time

Select the number for 'Manual Calibrate'

Ensure the SHEAR REACTION and CORRECTION FACTOR are calculated before proceeding.
Standard Press Reaction Time Calculation
Set the PRESS REACTION time to zero.
Program a 130" part with holes at 60" and 120".
Cycle the shear and the press.
Run the line.
Measure the leading edge to the first hole and the first hole to the second hole after the first part is cut.
Use the formula for the new PRESS REACTION time to calculate the value.

Record the current BOOST REACTION TIME setting
Is the leading edge of the part pushing the die and deforming its shape?
Is the die causing the material to pull or tear apart?
Adjust the BOOST REACTION TIME accordingly
