Remove lint from around basket (tumbler), drive motors, and surrounding areas.

Remove lint from the gas valve burner area using a dusting brush or vacuum cleaner attachment.

Remove lint accumulation from inside.

Lubricate impellor (fan/blower) shaft bearings using Shell Alvania grease NLGI 2 or its equivalent.

Check that the setscrews on the impellor/fan shaft bearings are tight.

Inspection of Connections and Fasteners

Inspect bolts, nuts, screws, setscrews, and grounding connections

Inspect nonpermanent gas connections

Inspection and Maintenance of Belts

Examine fan (impellor) V-belts, motor, and drive belts

Replace cracked or seriously frayed belts if necessary

Tighten loose V-belts if necessary

Operational Check of Controls and Valves

Complete operational check of controls and valves

Microprocessor Controller (Computer) Board Check

Reestablish power to the dryer after installing the replacement microprocessor controller board.

Start the drying cycle by pressing any of the preset cycles in letters A-F.

Are the applicable indicator lights on the microprocessor controller board lit?

Models with Direct Spark Ignition (DSI) Module (Type I) Check

Did the gas burner ignite within the 6-second trial for ignition time?

Is the flame sensor detecting the gas burner flame?

Is the DSI module keeping the gas valve open as long as there is a call for heat?

Lint Accumulation Inspection and Removal

Inspect and remove lint accumulation in customer furnished exhaust ductwork system.

Inspect and remove lint from dryer's internal exhaust ducting.

Check customer furnished back draft dampers in the exhaust ductwork for lint accumulation.

Inspect and ensure back draft dampers are not binding or sticking.

Did the hi-limit trip due to a high temperature occurrence?

Disconnect power before resetting the hi-limit.

Inspection of Connections and Fasteners

Inspect all bolts, nuts, screws, and setscrews

Inspect grounding and nonpermanent gas connections

Inspection and Maintenance of Belts

Examine fan (impellor) V-belts, motor, and drive belts

Replace cracked or seriously frayed belts if necessary

Tighten loose V-belts if necessary

Complete operational check of controls and valves
