Ensure all original components are reassembled

Verify panels are fully tightened

Enter the design pressure indicated on the nameplate

Is the maximum allowed differential pressure indicated on the nameplate?

Pressurize one circuit to design pressure and leave the other empty

Pressurize the second circuit to secure the differential pressure

Wait for 30 minutes for pressure stabilization

Ensure chemical cleaning is performed by authorized and qualified personnel.

Take all necessary protection and precautions for health, safety, and environment regarding chemicals.

Select the type of deposit and corresponding cleaning agent

Ensure compatibility of cleaning agents with materials of construction such as metal and gaskets.

Follow complete cleaning protocol including agent, concentration, temperature, and time.

Is the cleaning protocol suitable for the materials of the Compabloc?

Avoid using hydrochloric acid or substances containing chlorides.

Dismantling Procedure for Panels

Progressively loosen the nuts one girder after the other

Loosen bottom nuts one panel after the other

Do not unscrew stud bolts or nuts for girder assembly

Remove panels starting with the highest weight

Use welded or screwed lifting lugs to lift panels safely

Clean gasket seating surface thoroughly without scratching

Dismantle the baffle cage if inspection or heavy mechanical cleaning is required after panel removal.

Locate and record baffle positions before dismantling for correct reassembly.

Pull out the ladder formed by uprights and baffle plates.

Remove triangular PTFE cord gaskets from longitudinal girder lining.

Remove the complete baffle cage.

Clean the triangular groove of the longitudinal girder lining and remove grease.

Ensure the Compabloc is empty before opening.

Collect remaining fluid to prevent environmental pollution.

Can chemicals be used for cleaning?

If chemicals cannot be used, remove the following to access heat transfer surfaces if necessary.

Follow instructions in chapter 4.3 for opening the Compabloc.

Is it necessary to remove the baffle cage?

If needed, follow instructions in chapter 4.3.5.
