Advantage Temperature Control Unit SK-680-LEP

Reduce process water temperature to below 85 degrees F.

Disengage process operations and verify all system pressure is relieved and the pressure gauges read "0".

Disengage main power supply and verify the Power light on the display is "off".

Remove the lift-off access panel to access the cooling cylinder.

Disconnect the following components

Remove the 4 mounting bolts that hold the cooling cylinder to the pump volute.

Call the factory for diagnostic assistance

Was the control instrument determined to be at fault?

Send a new or reconditioned instrument as a replacement if the instrument is at fault

Return the defective instrument freight pre-paid for full credit

Was the defective instrument returned?

Pay for the instrument if it was not returned

Out of Warranty Service Incident

Call the factory for diagnostic assistance

Disengage process operations and relieve all system pressure

Disengage main power supply and verify the Power light on the display is 'off'

Remove the lift-off access panel and set aside

Remove the thermoformed panel attached by 4 small screws

Drain machine by removing the pump casing drain plug

Remove the three motor wire leads from the motor wiring terminals and map the wire terminal locations

Unplug the sensor probe connection

Shake out water from the service connection

Replug the sensor probe connection

Did the error display change to Solid Red?

Press the Start push button to clear the error if display is Solid Red

Cease process operations as outlined in section 3.4 of the manual

Is all process pressure relieved and do the unit's pressure gauges read '0'?

Disengage process operations and verify all system pressure is relieved and the unit's pressure gauges read '0'.

Disengage main power supply and verify the Power light on the display is 'off'.

Remove the 'To Process' temperature probe and insert a 1/2" plug in its place.

Record the temperature of the ice water bath using an accurate digital thermometer.
