Clean the control panel with a soft damp cloth

Avoid harsh cleaners which could scratch the display window

Has the drive been stored for a year?

If yes, the capacitors must be reformed

Sign off on the drive maintenance

Stop the drive and disconnect it from the power line. Wait for five minutes to let the drive DC capacitors discharge. Make sure that there is no voltage present.

Remove the hood if the drive has the NEMA 1 option.

Lever the fan holder off the drive frame with, for example, a screwdriver.

Free the fan cable from the clip in the drive frame.

Lift the holder from the hinges.

Disconnect the fan cable. The figure below on the right shows the location of the fan cable connector in frame size R2. The inside views in different frame sizes are not identical, but the fan cable connector is always on the control board that is against the front of the drive.

Free the fan cable from the clip in the fan holder.

Remove the fan from the holder.

Drive stopped and disconnected from power line?

Measure voltage between input terminals and ground

Measure voltage between output terminals and ground

Warning: Only perform this procedure on Assistant control panels with the clock function.

Is the clock function available and enabled?

If the clock function is not available or enabled, stop the procedure.

Is the battery older than ten years?

If the battery is not older than ten years, stop the procedure.

Was the battery successfully removed?

Select the type of battery used for replacement
