10 Yearly Battery Replacement

Warning: Only perform this procedure on Assistant control panels with clock function

Is the clock function available and enabled?

If the clock function is not available or enabled, stop the procedure

Enter the current year of the battery

Is the battery older than ten years?

If the battery is not older than ten years, stop the procedure

Upload a photo of the back of the control panel

Was the battery successfully replaced with type CR2032?

Sign off on the battery replacement

6 Yearly Power Terminal Check

WARNING! Obey the safety instructions. If you ignore the safety instructions, injury or death can occur. If you are not a qualified electrician, do not do electrical work.

Drive stopped and disconnected from the power line?

Measure the voltage between the input terminals and ground

Measure the voltage between the output terminals and ground

Voltage present?

Power cable connections tight?

Sign off on the power terminal check

3 Yearly Fan Replacement

Warning: Obey the safety instructions. If you ignore the safety instructions, injury or death can occur. If you are not a qualified electrician, do not do electrical work.

Stop the drive and disconnect it from the power line. Wait for five minutes to let the drive DC capacitors discharge. Make sure that there is no voltage present.

Remove the hood if the drive has the NEMA 1 option.

Lever the fan holder off the drive frame with, for example, a screwdriver.

Free the fan cable from the clip in the drive frame.

Lift the holder from the hinges.

Disconnect the fan cable. The figure below on the right shows the location of the fan cable connector in frame size R2. The inside views in different frame sizes are not identical, but the fan cable connector is always on the control board that is against the front of the drive.

Free the fan cable from the clip in the fan holder.

Remove the fan from the holder.

Check of temperature

Use a soft damp cloth to clean the control panel

Avoid harsh cleaners which could scratch the display window

The capacitors must be reformed if the drive has been stored for a year
