Use appropriate pipe dope for assembly

Clean piping of dirt and scale by hammering on the outside of the pipe

Blow out loose particles from the pipe

Ensure all gas lines external to the unit have been purged of air

Close main manual shut-off valve

Shut off all electric power to the unit

Remove screws holding manifold to burner supports

Open union fitting in gas supply line upstream of unit gas valve

Remove gas piping closure panel

Disconnect wiring to gas valves and spark ignitors

Remove manifold-burner gas valve assembly by lifting up and pulling back

Inspect the unit for possible damage during transit

Note the extent of any damage on the carrier’s freight bill

Request inspection by the carrier’s agent in writing

Is the product installed in compliance with the enclosed installation instructions?

Is the product installed in compliance with applicable local, state, and national codes?

Is the furnace and its individual shut-off valve disconnected from the gas supply piping system during pressure testing above 1/2 PSIG?

Verify that ZE units are properly phased at the factory.

Is the blower rotating in the correct direction?

Is the compressor rotating in the correct direction?

Measure the amperage of the scroll compressor.

Are the suction and discharge pressures similar?

Is the scroll compressor producing a high noise level?

Loosen six nuts (top and bottom) A

Ensure nuts (C) are not loosened

Use belt tension checker to apply a perpendicular force to one belt at the midpoint of the span

Enter the deflection distance obtained

Enter the deflection force applied

Check belt tension at least two times during the first 24 hours of operation

Re-tighten nuts (A) after adjusting
