Read the safety warning carefully

Ensure the use of appropriate pipe dope

Open the main shut-off valve to admit normal gas pressure

Check all joints for leaks using a soap solution

Ensure no open flames are used during the leak test

Connect a manometer to the outlet pressure port on the gas valve

Remove plastic cap covering HI and LO pressure adjustment screws

Set thermostat to call for second stage heat and start furnace

Adjust second stage (100% input) manifold pressure

Enter the current manifold pressure for second stage

Is the manifold pressure within the range of 3.2 to 3.8 IWG?

Adjust the second stage adjustment screw if necessary

Inspect the unit for possible damage during transit

Is there any evident damage on the unit?

Note the extent of the damage on the carrier’s freight bill

Request inspection by the carrier’s agent in writing

Ensure installation complies with all applicable codes

Check for proper compressor rotation

Verify electrical connection for correct phasing

Check if scroll compressor is drawing low amperage

Check for similar suction and discharge pressures

Listen for high noise level from the scroll compressor

Check for proper supply air blower rotation

Loosen six nuts (top and bottom) A

Ensure nuts (C) are not loosened

Use belt tension checker to apply a perpendicular force to one belt at the midpoint of the span

Enter the deflection distance obtained

Enter the deflection force applied

Check belt tension at least two times during the first 24 hours of operation

Re-tighten nuts (A) after adjusting
