CAUTION: Label all wires prior to disconnection when servicing controls. Wiring errors can cause improper and dangerous operation. Verify proper operation after servicing. This appliance and its venting system should be inspected before use and at least annually by a qualified service person. The appliance area must be kept clear and free of combustible materials, gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids. The flow of combustion and ventilation air must not be obstructed.

Remove logs, rocks, and/or glass to expose burner and pilot assembly.

Vacuum or brush the control compartment, media, burner, air shutter opening, and area surrounding the logs.

Check all burner ports for proper burning and clean any that are not burning properly.

Ensure the pilot flame is large enough to engulf the flame sensor and/or thermocouple/thermopile and reaches the burner.

Replace cleaned logs, rocks, or glass ensuring proper positioning to prevent carboning.

Ensure the appliance is turned off before starting the adjustment.

Verify that the air shutter is set according to the factory settings chart.

Is the flame yellow after 15 to 30 minutes of operation?

Is the flame lifting from the burner ports?

Adjust the air shutter based on flame observation

Adjust the pilot screw to provide properly sized flame by turning clockwise to reduce gas flow.

Turn screw (A) counter-clockwise until loosened.

Place pressure gauge tubing over the test point and record the inlet pressure.

Is the main burner operating on 'HI'?

Turn screw (B) counter-clockwise until loosened.

Place pressure gauge tubing over the test point and record the outlet pressure.

Ensure the glass is cool before cleaning

Keep children away from the glass during cleaning

Use a recommended fireplace glass cleaner

Buff lightly with a clean dry soft cloth

Is the glass free from discoloration and blemishes?
