CAUTION: Label all wires prior to disconnection when servicing controls. Wiring errors can cause improper and dangerous operation. Verify proper operation after servicing. This appliance and its venting system should be inspected before use and at least annually by a qualified service person. The appliance area must be kept clear and free of combustible materials, gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids. The flow of combustion and ventilation air must not be obstructed.

Remove logs, rocks, and/or glass to expose burner and pilot assembly.

Vacuum or brush the control compartment, media, burner, air shutter opening, and area surrounding the logs.

Check that all burner ports are burning properly and clean out any that are not.

Ensure the pilot flame is large enough to engulf the flame sensor and/or thermocouple/thermopile and reaches the burner.

Replace the cleaned logs, rocks, or glass ensuring proper positioning to avoid carboning.

Ensure the appliance is turned off and cool before starting adjustments.

Is the current flame color yellow?

Select the desired flame color adjustment

Adjust the air shutter according to the selected flame color.

Wait for 15 to 30 minutes for the final flame color to establish.

Adjust the pilot screw to provide properly sized flame by turning clockwise to reduce gas flow.

Measure inlet pressure using screw (A) and pressure gauge tubing.

Record inlet pressure for natural gas (inches water column).

Record inlet pressure for propane (inches water column).

Is the main burner operating on 'HI' during inlet pressure check?

Measure outlet pressure using screw (B) and pressure gauge tubing.

Ensure the glass is cool before cleaning

Ensure no children are near the glass during cleaning

Buff lightly with a clean dry soft cloth

Clean both sides of the glass with a recommended fireplace glass cleaner

Is the glass free of discoloration and blemishes?
