Ensure the motor is stored in a clean, dry, dust-free location

Verify the storage area is free of vibrations, gases, and corrosive agents

Check that the relative humidity does not exceed 60%

Keep the heating resistor on to avoid water condensation inside the motor

Manually rotate the motor shaft at least once a month, making at least 5 turns

Ensure the motor shaft is left in a different position after rotation

Ensure proper storage conditions for bearings with oil mist lubrication systems

Prepare motors with open bearings stored for more than six months

Shaft Grounding Brush Inspection

Check the condition of the shaft grounding brush

Is the brush at the end of its useful life?

Replace the brush with one of the same specification if necessary

Verify if the motor has an internal grounding brush (check for label on product)

Inspect the internal grounding brush during bearing or internal motor part maintenance
