Ensure motors are protected from accidental starts

Run the motor unloaded to check rotation direction

Ensure the rotor is locked before performing operations on terminals

Check the proper functioning of motor accessories

Ensure the motor is stored in a clean, dry, dust-free location

Check for absence of vibrations, gases, and corrosive agents in the storage area

Verify that the relative humidity does not exceed 60%

Keep the heating resistor on to avoid water condensation inside the motor (if available)

Manually rotate the motor shaft at least once a month, making at least 5 turns

Ensure the motor shaft is left in a different position after rotation

Ensure proper storage conditions for bearings with oil mist lubrication systems

Have the motors with open bearings been stored for more than six months?

Relubricate bearings with the grease amount indicated on the nameplate before operation

Ensure free airflow around the motor
