Test No. 1 - Check Valve No. 2 Tightness

Ensure valves are in correct positions

Observe the pressure differential

Does the pressure differential continue to decrease until the vent opens?

Report check valve #2 as leaking if pressure differential continues to decrease

Test No. 2 - Shutoff #2 Tightness

Observe the pressure differential

Open test cocks to relieve pressure

Disconnect the hose from the bottom cover plate to the relief valve

Ensure the relief valve is hand-tightened only

Remove the cover plate of the relief valve by removing the four connecting screws

Remove the rubber diaphragm from the relief valve

Ensure shutoff valves are closed

Open test cocks to relieve pressure

Remove #3 test cock from housing

Remove Victaulic couplers if repairing 8" or 10" device

Service Bolt and Spring Mechanism

Locate service hole and thread in service bolt by hand
