Cautions
Hydraulic End Maintenance
Flush Contaminant from Hydraulic End
Remove oil drain cap (34) and allow all oil and contaminants to drain out. Replace oil drain cap.
Remove oil cap (28) and fill reservoir with kerosene or solvent, manually turn pump shaft to circulate kerosene, and drain.
Repeat the kerosene or solvent flush.
Fill reservoir with fresh oil, manually turn pump shaft to circulate oil, and drain once again.
Is the oil milky after refilling the reservoir?
Repeat flushing procedure until oil appears clean, if necessary.
Replace oil cap (28).
Initial 100 Hours Oil Change
Preparation
Ensure the pump is turned off and cooled down
Gather necessary tools and materials for oil change
Oil Drainage
Remove the drain plug cap (34) at the bottom of the pump
Ensure all oil and accumulated sediment have drained out
Oil Viscosity Check
Measure the oil viscosity
Is the oil viscosity within the acceptable range?
Prime Hydraulic Cells Maintenance
Prime Hydraulic Cells on Standard Pumps
Remove oil cap and fill reservoir with correct Hydra-oil
Use catch basin for oil leaks and dispose of properly
Force air out of oil in hydraulic cell by turning shaft and pumping piston
Wipe excess oil from cylinder housing and diaphragms
Ensure oil is 1 inch (25 mm) from top of fill port
