Turn disconnect switches to the OFF position for the compressor unit and oil pump motor starter, if equipped

Disconnect connectors from actuator

Note orientation of components to aid in installation

Remove E-clips, Locking Retainers, Grooved Bolts and Washes securing actuator assembly to actuator mount

Remove actuator assembly from actuator mount

NOTE: Coupling guards may differ slightly but this replacement procedure can be used to remove and install them. The coupling guard assembly described in this procedure is VPN A27435C.

Remove eight screws and flat washers securing upper guard to lower guard.

Remove three screws and flat washers securing upper guard to ring mounting guard. Remove upper guard.

Remove two screws and flat washers securing lower guard to ring mounting guard. Remove lower guard.

Remove eight fasteners from lower guard.
