10 Hourly / 1 Daily Oil Level Check
Oil Level Check
Engine running at low idle and marine transmission in neutral?
Enter the transmission oil temperature
Startup
Transmission control in NEUTRAL?
Enter the transmission oil pressure
Pressure registered within 15 seconds?
Check the oil level
Transmission filled to LOW mark on the dipstick?
Initial 8 Hours Rebuilt Transmission Filter and Oil Change
Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!
Suction screen and filter element checked after eight hours of operation?
Upload a photo of the suction screen and filter element
Select the type of material found on the suction screen and filter element
Condition of the filter
If the filter is dirty, change the element and operate for another eight hours. Check the filter again.
Filter clean after repeated cycles?
Change the oil and filter after 1000 hours of service, or more often if conditions warrant.
Situations involving debris in the hydraulic system will require that heat exchangers and all connecting lines and hoses be thoroughly cleaned.
2000 Hourly / 6 Monthly Flexible Input Coupling Inspection
G. Flexible Input Coupling
Do not obstruct the flywheel housing vents, which will prevent the free flow of air for cooling the coupling.
Operating air temperatures above -6°C (22°F) and below 82°C (180°F) must be maintained.
Enter the current operating air temperature
Is the air temperature within the operating range?
If possible, visually inspect the coupling after the first 100 hours of operation, and every 2000 hours thereafter, or every six months, whichever comes first.
Enter the hours of operation since the last inspection
Is the coupling visually inspected?
Torsional vibration, misalignment, degradation by contaminants (oil), heat, ultraviolet radiation, and excessive system torque can cause cracks or other signs of distress to appear on the surface of the rubber.
Initial 100 Hours Flexible Input Coupling Inspection
Warning: Do not obstruct the flywheel housing vents
Operating air temperatures within range (-6°C to 82°C)?
Enter the current hours of operation
Visual inspection of the coupling after the first 100 hours of operation?
Any signs of torsional vibration, misalignment, degradation by contaminants (oil), heat, ultraviolet radiation, and excessive system torque?
Any cracks or other signs of distress on the surface of the rubber?
Any accumulation of residue at the vents?
If any accumulation of residue is found, describe the possible cause
Sign off on the inspection
Oil Capacity Check
Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!
Transmission control in NEUTRAL
Transmission oil pressure
If no pressure is indicated, stop the engine and determine the cause.
Oil level at LOW mark on the dipstick
Run the engine at idle until oil temperature reaches operating range.
Oil level at FULL mark on the gauge
Allow the oil to cool to ambient temperature (perhaps overnight).
Oil level while cold at low idle engine speed with the engine in neutral
