1 Weekly Dryer Maintenance
Check for unusual noise
Check the process dew point
Is the process dew point within the acceptable range (max. = −40°F)?
Check the system for air leaks
Blower Motor Rotation Check
Initial Inspection
Ensure the unit is powered off before inspection
Remove the side panel to access the blower motor
Blower Rotation Check
Is the Blower Rotation Alarm present on the dryer?
Is the alarm light activated and message displayed on the digital readout?
Is the process blower motor rotating clockwise?
Corrective Action
Reverse any two of the three incoming power leads to the terminal block if rotation is incorrect
6 Monthly Dryer Maintenance
Check that all components are in place
Electrical Checks
Enter the amp draw of heaters
Enter the amp draw of blower motors
Refer to wiring diagram, insert, and individual motor nameplate for specifications
1 Yearly Dryer Molecular Sieve Testing
Preparation
Ensure the oven is preheated to 600°F / 316°C
Prepare an air tight jar for cooling the desiccant
Desiccant Regeneration
Regenerate the desiccant in the oven for 2 hours at 600°F / 316°C
Place the desiccant into an air tight jar and allow it to cool to room temperature for a minimum of 12 hours
Testing Procedure
Pour 30ml of water into a small glass
Record the initial temperature of the water using a mercury thermometer
1 Yearly Dryer Dewpoint Sensor Replacement
Preparation
Remove power from the unit
Sensor Removal
Locate the sensor manifold assembly
Remove socket
Unscrew retaining nut
Remove sensor and insert from manifold
Sensor Replacement
Remove the insert from the sensor
