Clean the return line strainers

Ensure all cleaned components are reassembled correctly

Inspect for any visible leaks after reassembly

Record any issues found during maintenance

Check the fluid level in the sump

Add necessary amount of fluid if level is low

Observe instrument panel gauges for correct readings

Are all gauges showing correct readings for their phase of operation?

Perform a general check on the overall compressor and instrument panel

Clean exterior of air filter housing

Remove the air filter cover by loosening the wingnut securing the cover

Remove element and clean interior of housing using a damp cloth

Reassemble in the reverse order of the disassembly

Place a bright light inside the element to inspect for damage or leak holes

Inspect all gaskets and gasket contact surfaces of the housing

Enter the desired operating pressure range (psig/bar)

Enter the maximum operating pressure from the compressor serial number nameplate (psig/bar)

Is the desired operating pressure within the maximum operating pressure limit?

Remove the pressure switch cover

Ensure the shut-off valve is closed or slightly cracked open

Observe the line pressure gauge reading (psig/bar)

Remove the old element and gasket using a strap wrench

Apply a light film of fluid to the new gasket

Hand-tighten new element until new gasket is seated in the gasket groove

Continue tightening element by hand an additional 1/2 to 3/4 turn
