Manifold Gas Pressure Check

Ensure the system is cold and on full load with all temperature controls set at maximum.

Check mark

Remove the screw in the manifold setting pressure test nipple and connect a suitable gas pressure gauge.

Light the boiler and allow it to operate for about fifteen minutes to stabilize the burners.

Check the manifold gas pressure.

Check mark

Adjust the pressure to the figure shown in Table 1 for the appropriate boiler size.

Remove the dust cover over the adjuster.

Using a small screwdriver, turn the screw beneath clockwise to increase or anti-clockwise to decrease pressure.

Undo the screw securing the grey plastic electrical cover on the valve and lift it off

Undo the earth connection and pull off the two connectors to the gas valve

Lift off the lower front panel from the boiler casing.

Remove connections where applicable

Undo the four nuts securing the burner front plate.

Pull the front plate forwards at the top and lift it out.

Lift out the burners

Check mark

Remove thermocouple and pilot gas pipe connections at the gas valve.

Pull off the igniter lead at the igniter.

Remove Controls Box

Remove the two screws and washers securing the controls box to the side panels

Lift the controls box off the locating hooks

Disconnect Electrical Connector

Unfasten the two screws securing the plug-in electrical connector to the rear of the control box
