Switch OFF and DISCONNECT the electricity supply.

Remove Controls Box Front Panel

Remove controls box front panel as described in L.E.D. lights assembly.

Store the front panel in a suitable place.

Unplug and Remove Wires

Unplug the red and white wires from terminals 1 and 3 on the overheat thermostat.

Remove the earth wire from the bracket fixing screw.

Remove the jacket lower front panel

1 Yearly Boiler Cleaning

Lift off the lower front panel from the boiler casing.

Check mark

Remove the earth connection and the two push-on leads connecting the controls box to the overheat thermostat, if applicable.

Burner Removal

Check mark

Undo the four nuts securing the burner front plate.

Check mark

Pull the front plate forwards at the top and lift it out.

Check mark

Lift out the left and right hand burner after pushing them back to clear the injector.

Check mark

Remove the thermocouple and pilot gas pipe connections at the gas valve to remove the centre burner.

Check mark

Pull off the igniter lead at the igniter.

Switch OFF and DISCONNECT the electricity supply

Pilot Burner Removal

Check mark

Remove the centre burner as previously described under Servicing

Check mark

Unfasten the backnut retaining the electrode and remove

Check mark

Undo the two screws securing the pilot burner assembly to the pilot burner bracket

Check mark

Undo the thermocouple and pilot gas pipe connections at the pilot burner assembly

Check mark

CAREFULLY remove the pilot burner

Switch OFF and DISCONNECT the electricity supply

Control Box Removal

Check mark

Remove the two screws and washers securing the control box to the side panels

Check mark

Lift the control box off the locating hooks

Check mark

Electrical Connectors Removal

Check mark

Unfasten the two screws securing the plug-in electrical connectors to the rear of the control box

Remove the connector
