Verify fan motor windings are not open or grounded

Connect manifold gauges to ice machine

Hook voltmeter in parallel across the fan cycle control, leaving wires attached

Perform keystrokes on the display

Press Menu, scroll down to Service and press the right arrow

Scroll down to Diagnostics, press the right arrow and select Diagnostics

Display reads Control Board, press right arrow

Scroll down to enbl relays and press right arrow to start control board test

Verify control board relays are energized

Test for line voltage at the individual components

Check if line voltage is present and component is non-functional

Cycle ice machine with the on/off button

Ice Machine starts - Run the system to see if the control trips at the rated pressure

If HPCO opens at a pressure significantly lower or higher than the control setting of 450 psig, replace the HPCO

If the control opens at the correct pressure, find the root cause

Ice Machine Does Not Start - Continue with the next step

Perform testing within the 60 minute time delay period

Check for 24 volts at terminals V & C on the ice machine control board

Check for 24 volts at terminals C & HPC1

Compressor Electrical Diagnostics

Ensure the compressor dome is cool enough to touch (below 120°F/49°C)

Disconnect power and remove the wires from the compressor terminals

Measure resistance between C and S

Measure resistance between C and R

Measure resistance between S and R

Verify if the sum of resistances between C-S and C-R equals the resistance between S-R

If the overload is open, allow the compressor to cool and check the readings again

Scroll down to Diagnostics and press right arrow

Scroll down to Temp Sensors and press right arrow to display thermistor temperature readings

Enter the displayed thermistor temperature reading

Is the thermistor reading normal?
