Visually inspect the PTCR for signs of physical damage

Wait at least 10 minutes for the PTCR to cool to room temperature

Remove the PTCR from the ice machine

Measure the resistance of the PTCR

Enter the resistance reading for Two Terminal PTCR Black

Enter the resistance reading for Two Terminal PTCR Blue

Enter the resistance reading for Three Terminal PTCR Tan

Check if the resistance readings are within the specified range

Check if the bin switch light is on with the water curtain/ice dampers closed

Disconnect electrical power to the entire ice machine

Check for continuity across the fuse with an ohmmeter

Soak probes in cleaning solution

Reinstallation and Sanitization

Sanitize ice machine and bin/dispenser interior surfaces

Disconnect power to the ice machine

Check components requiring replacement

Follow manufacturer's instructions for the pinch-off tool

Position the pinch-off tool around the tubing as far from the pressure control as feasible

Clamp down on the tubing until the pinch-off is complete

Cut the tubing of the defective component with a small tubing cutter

Verify the ice machine is in the harvest cycle

Check if the harvest valve is energized

Measure voltage at the air pump connector

Verify continuity through the motor windings using a volt ohm meter

Replace motor if there is no continuity
