Bearing Removal and Preparation

Remove any burrs from the shaft by sanding

Slide new bearings onto the shaft to the desired location

Loosely mount bearings onto the bearing support

Ensure bearing bolts and setscrews are loose enough to allow shaft positioning

Wheel Positioning and Bearing Securing

Check the environmental conditions

Pump grease slowly until a slight bead forms around the bearing seals

Number of grease injections used

Is there any excessive grease around the bearing seals?

Check for any signs of seal damage or contamination

Loosen the motor plate mounting bolts to relieve the belt tension

Remove the pulleys from the shaft

Was a three-jaw puller used to remove the pulleys?

Adjust belt alignment if necessary

Record any issues found during inspection

Is the fan in operation during lubrication?

Ensure the grease gun is hand operated and ready for use.

Select the temperature range during operation.

Pump grease slowly until a slight bead forms around the bearing seals.

Enter the number of grease injections used.
