Verify service conditions are severe

Is the grease used polyurea mineral oil NLGI #2?

Drill two holes with 1/4” diameter

Screw the puller arms into the tapped holes full depth of threads

Align center of puller with center of shaft

Ensure all setscrews in hub are fully removed

Inspect fan for any signs of corrosion or contamination

Is the fan operating within normal parameters?

Record the fan's operating speed

Is the fan used for general ventilation only?

Check UL Listing for Smoke Control Systems

Identify motor service conditions and NEMA frame

Is the motor provided with provisions for relubrication?

Inspect motor bearings for signs of wear or damage

Clean motor bearings if necessary

Is the grease used compatible with polyurea mineral oil NLGI #2?

Lubricate motor bearings with compatible grease if required

Ensure fan is in operation before lubrication

Is the fan operating between 1000 to 3000 RPM and 120 to 200°F?

Is the fan operating over 3000 RPM and -30 to 120°F?

Pump grease slowly until a slight bead forms around the bearing seals

Is the bearing visible during lubrication?

Number of grease injections used if bearing is not visible
