Look for gaps when disassembling the meter

Check for gaps between the bearing plate and housing using a feeler gauge

Check the bearing plates for flatness with a straight edge

Are there any shock problems causing the gaps?

Have shock problems been resolved?

Contact your full-service distributor for assistance if shock problems persist

Ensure all internal pressures are relieved and all liquid is drained from the system.

Close all liquid and vapor lines between the meter and liquid source.

Refer to local authorities and relevant NFPA Codes for safety rules.

Are all pipes supported independently of the meter?

Can the meter and accessories be removed without affecting the pipes or pipe alignment?

Handling Precision Machined Surfaces

Examine all fasteners for issues

Check the housing for flatness using a straight edge

Check the cover for flatness using a straight edge

Identify the condition of the O-rings

Do the O-rings need replacement?

Is there a sign of shock problems?

Replace damaged O-rings if necessary

Contact full-service distributor for assistance if shock problems are detected

Ensure all internal pressure is relieved to zero before disassembly

Remove the two screws on the packing gland retaining plate with a 5/16" socket and ratchet drive extension or 5/16" nut driver

Pry off the retaining ring with a standard screwdriver

Pull the driver out from the assembly

Select the mounting option for the retaining plate based on the presence of a counter adapter dust cover
