Check for manufacturer's lubrication instructions on the motor

Are manufacturer's lubrication instructions available?

If no instructions are available, ensure the following

Oil at oiling ports with the selected oil

Check the condition of the filters

Is the filter U.L.C certified or equivalent for use in Canada?

Clean the filter if it is dirty

Replace the filter if it is damaged

Ensure the 'AIR FLOW DIRECTION' marking is correctly oriented when re-installing the filter

Owner complaints about insufficient cooling

Check all wiring for loose connections

Enter the voltage at the unit (unit operating)

Enter the amp-draw on the condenser fan motor

Enter the amp-draw on the blower motor

Check connecting lines and coil for oil leaks

Check condensate drain pan, if necessary

Check condensate drain line, if necessary

Clean the condenser coil with a water hose

Inspect condenser coil for any visible damage

Inspect connecting lines for evidence of oil leaks

Inspect coils for evidence of oil leaks
